∞ PROMISE AND A PRAYER  ∞

I always promise to make you happy and treat you right when I am there,
I pray for the Lord to always keep you close and to keep you in his care.

A promise is something that I make and forever strive to keep,
A prayer is something I say to hold you safely as you sleep.

A promise and a prayer I pledge to always make in my mind for you,
The prayer is Gods to answer and it will be his spirit to help you through.

A promise to pray for you is not so very hard to make,
I only pray to give and provide for you and never just take.

Even if a promise becomes almost impossible to try and keep,
Prayers are in my heart and make emotions for you so very deep.

A promise, a prayer, two words that I can never do without,
I hope you know how much I care and never have any doubt.

How many promises in this world will I be able to fill?
God knows how hard I will try as he performs his ultimate will.

A prayer to keep a promise, I hope this thought does not confuse,
God I pray I did no harm I never meant to only use.

I promise to only think great thoughts of you and forever say,
Lord help me to understand her needs while on my knees I pray.
